I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner I am trained to alleviate individuals’ psychiatric symptoms with treatments including psychotherapy, education, and/or psychiatric medications. I completed my training at University of California, San Francisco in 2013 and have been working since then in community mental health providing medication management, individual psychotherapy, and group psychoeducation to adolescents and adults. In addition, I have pursued extensive training in psychotherapy, including the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program at San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis where I am currently a Candidate Psychoanalyst.
Prior to pursuing my Master’s in order to provide psychopharmacology and psychotherapy treatments, I received my BA at the University of California, Santa Cruz with a major in Community Studies- Health Activism. I worked in public health and harm reduction for over fifteen years. Working with the resilient, resourceful clients and communities in these settings developed my desire to be of service alleviating people’s suffering and diminishing the impact of individual and collective trauma.
